R.I.P. Paul Bearer. Too soon. You were the best. Thanks for the autographed picture when I was a kid. You'll always be my hero.

Saturday March 2, 2013 Update

Hope everyone is enjoying the new episode of the podcast up today.  Paul and I were in the Erie Insurance Arena tonight for a great 5-4 OT win by the Erie Otters over the Windsor Spitfires.  Two big goals from Spencer Abraham including the OT game winner 31 seconds in snap a six game losing streak for the Erie Otters. Dane Fox also contributing two goals on the night for a rare March win for the Erie Otters.  For the first time in two years, the Erie Otters have won a March contest.  Shout out to Stephen Harper for sticking around and signing up to 1000 posters for the Erie faithful after the game tonight.  Great win for the Otters who have two remaining home games left. You only have two chances left to see Connor McDavid this year, plan accordingly.

After enjoying the Otters win, I managed to elude the score of the Pens/Habs game and watched it when I got home.  Really exciting 1980s style game played at the Bell Centre tonight.  Odd choice to see Vokoun in net instead of Fleury who most would assume would start in his home province, but Tommy made the saves he had to make.  Not the most stellar outing in the world but nice to see him get a win under his belt again.  Just huge games from Matt Cooke, Sidney Crosby, and Brandon Sutter.  It was also great to see Simon Despres and Mark Eaton having a great night returning to the line-up.

But seriously, #FreeDespres, #HealMalkin, #FreeBoychuk, and #BenchKennedy!

Thanks all for checking in, we'll have more for you in the coming days.
